A Great Horned Owl, & Eagles

Early this morn
while still in
bed, before the light
of day, i heard
the mellow hoot of
a Great Horned
Owl ,
which brought to
mind migrating Eagles
i saw Sunday noon
at Higgins Bay
Magnificent, mighty,
purposeful,  they swiftly
soared through trees
to perch on the highest
ragged limb, far
from anyone's reach
Still and silent they
watched, and patiently
waited for just
the right time
to fish the lake
